A special one-off live show with ITV commentator Matt Rendell celebrating Italian cycling, cuisine and culture.
Matt's love of Italian culture has been fed by working on Italy's great bike races for the last 20 years - Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianchi, Tirreno-Adriatico... and the Giro itself. Matt also wrote the definitive book on tragic Italian cycling icon Marco Pantani, later made into an acclaimed documentary.
In an entertaining and revealing evening in Tunbridge Wells, he will be sharing eye-opening tales from the Giro's chaotic early days and explaining why cycling has been so important to Italy's national identity. Matt will also explore (and celebrate) other curious aspects of Italian national culture and cuisine, in a night for all lovers of cycling and Italy and Italian cycling.
Matt will be in conversation with former Procyling magazine writer Duncan Steer, regular host of Matt's Tour de France live show, which has been playing to packed theatres across the country.
We are delighted to be staging this one-off show in the congenial setting of the Old Auction House, in the middle of Tunbridge Wells, eight minutes' walk from the station. We have a special advance ticket offer of £30, to include pizza or a cheese/charcuterie board and a welcome drink. Early tickets on their own are £15.
