Hey, im Trudi, the creator of Little Cwtch. Having worked with Cacao every day for the past 4 years, after discovering her medicine, nearly a decade ago, I have experienced her magic and feel her to truly be my allie and such an important part of our current journey today.
She is an ancient plant medicine, shared in ceremony over thousands of years. Rich in antioxidants, minerals and natural chemicals, offering an all enhancing, heart opening experience. Sharing her before any gathering, whether singing, dancing, drumming or healing, enhances our experience and connects us to our hearts, releasing ego and expectations ❤️
Excited to be co-creating this gathering with Michelle

Originally from an opera and musical theatre background, Michelle embarked on an amazing journey of self-discovery through bhakti yoga and sound healing. She fell in love with the practices many years ago and hasn't looked back since. Michelle is a multi-instrumentalist and a versatile singer who originally began as a kirtan drummer and backing vocalist. She then achieved her dream of composing and recording an album of mantras, titled Journey of The Heart. Michelle loves to teach, lead kirtans, hold sound healing and ecstatic drum dance events, and has never been more fulfilled. She loves to take people on a magical, healing journey through using her voice and intuitive music, and is grateful she has found her soul purpose.

Cacao is a beautiful, gentle yet powerful plant medicine. She is full of anti-inflammatories, antioxidants and minerals, such as iron, zinc, magnesium and copper.
Cacao is known to be the food of the Gods by the Aztec communities due to her amazing health benefits and the ability to give energy without the need for food.
Cacao can help to lower blood pressure due to being high in flavonoids and antioxidants, such as magnesium and has also been shown to help regulate insulin levels. Studies have shown Cacao’s ability to increase blood flow and can assist in the reduction of risk of heart disease and blood clotting.
Cacao also contains chemicals, including serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine and phenylethylamine, all known for their association with the feelings of bliss and happiness, so can also reduce feelings of low mood. Also containing high levels of ‘anandamide’ the bliss molecule, cacao can help with anxiety and depression.
Cacao has over 40 times the antioxidants that blueberries are known to have, which also assists in some of the known ageing processes such as Alzheimer's and cell damage. So can help us to stay young in mind, body and spirit, if drunk regularly.
Cacao can help to regulate blood sugar, due to its high antioxidant content and can slow down digestion, which will improve insulin secretion.
As you can see, she is an AMAZING plant medicine and not only tastes incredible, if a little bitter, but these are only some of her known benefits, there are many more!
However, with every super food, plant medicine, there are also contraindications. So please check with a medical professional if you think you need to.
It is known that, for instance, Zinc does not mix with steroid medication. And for some people on blood thinners, the fact that cacao will open the blood vessels allowing blood to flow more freely, could cause concern and be something that would need to be checked.
Cacao can work wonders with the gut, but there have been some instances where it has aggravated some conditions, such as IBS. So again, better to go in aware of these things.
Cacao has been known to bring out acne, it’s very oily so this could be the trigger, however, I am not a medical expert, so I am just sharing information.
Please do your own research if you feel you need to, I have given some information and known side effects, but this is in no way a final account and it would be wise to check, if you are known to have any medical conditions or on any medication (such as SSRIS antidepressants) that you feel may contradict with any of the known ingredients, naturally found within Cacao.
I share this information as way of consent to attending a Cacao ceremony and can be held in no way responsible for any side effects, during or after the offering of this drink.
With love
Trudi and Michelle
