A Day at the Zoo, Just for You!

Join us for a day dedicated to connection, discovery and community. Senior Day at the Detroit Zoo welcomes individuals 62 and older from Macomb, Oakland or Wayne county — along with one adult guest — for a memorable day of experiences, all at no cost.

Plus you can protect your health this season with a free flu shot during Senior Day at the Detroit Zoo! Visit picnic grove next to the Senior Day Resource Tent (near River Otters) from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Shots are available for insured, uninsured, and underinsured guests (Sr. Dose for ages 65+ available with insurance only). Consent must be completed online before arriving — visit alanas.vna.org and enter Clinic ID: 2820 and Passcode: ALANAS2025.
