About the event

Quilting, Incarceration and Human Dignity
Quilting, Incarceration, and Human Dignity: A Documentary Screening & Community Conversation
Saturday August 23 at 2pm
In person at St. John's

Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking event as we watch The Quilters. This powerful documentary tells the story of incarcerated individuals who find healing, expression, and community through the art of quilting. Beyond stitches and fabric, these quilts become acts of resistance, resilience, and redemption.
Following the screening, we’ll hold a community conversation led by The Rev. Maryjane Peck — our interim rector and “quilter-in-charge” — alongside other community leaders. Together, we’ll explore the intersection of art, justice, and human dignity, featuring reflections from both the quilting community and justice ministries.
