K9ScootersNW presents: K9Mushing 101 & 102 Classroom and Trail Course: An Introduction to Dog Mushing
Mushing 101: Learn in a class room setting about the sport of small team mushing, Including:
Different breeds and their roles
Gear, including: harnesses, tow lines, neck lines, types of vehicles used in the sport with small teams
Pre & post run dog care, including the importance of hydration and first aid.
Commands and communication to use on the trail
Mushing 101 Location: The Roy Grange, 102 Water St. W. Roy, WA 98580
Note: No dogs allowed in the Roy Grange.

Mushing 102: Take what you learned in the classroom to the trail with your pups!!
We will have club volunteers with extra gear and vehicles for you and your team to try
Mushing 102 Location: Yelm-Tenino Trail, 12 Rochester St. E., Rainier WA 98576 (behind Chevron gas station)
