Summer Soirée Dance Series: CUMBIA !

Launching our Summer Soir´ee Series this week! Dance and drink with us as we travel through different parts of the world through dance. The evening begins with an introduction to the dance genre and it's historical lineage by experts in the industry, followed by a dance class with the instructor, and open dance floor for the night! Each week we pair our dance genre with a traditional crafted cocktail by our mixologist team to pair with the evening!

Cumbia is a vibrant Latin American music and dance style that originated on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, born from a rich fusion of African rhythms, Indigenous melodies, and Spanish influences. Traditionally performed with drums, flutes, and dancing in a circle, cumbia tells a story of cultural blending and celebration. Over time, it evolved into many regional styles across Latin America—from the accordion-driven cumbias of Mexico to the urban beats of Argentina’s cumbia villera—while remaining a powerful symbol of rhythm, community, and cultural pride.

Hosted by Ritmo Lumina, Angel and his instructors share a passion for teaching the culture thorugh dance and are excited to teach and share the space with you!
