9:00 - 10:00 AM - Bleed Control
10:00 - 11:00 AM - CPR/AED
Stop the Bleed - Our instructors will teach you in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to stop the bleed and save a life.
CPR AED - CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training equips individuals with the skills to respond to cardiac emergencies. The course teaches how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform CPR, and use an AED to potentially save a life. (This is an awareness course, not a certification course!)
Webb Bridge Cycling, in coordination with the Van Purser Foundation (VPF) and its sister organization, Domestique Leadership, and the Alpharetta Fire Department, will conduct a 2-hour safety clinic on Saturday, Feb. 28th, from 9 - 11 AM (yes, this will interrupt our normal Saturday ride schedule, for good cause).
Lunch (pizza and soft drinks) will be provided by the VPF.
This invitation is open to all cyclists in the area. Seating/participation is limited to 40, and we will close reservations when we reach that limit. You can reserve your seat via response of “Going” to this event, or by sending an email to Bo (

This clinic is provided in remembrance of Kurt Kegel and Geoffrey Lariosa, two of our colleagues that succumbed to cardiac arrests while riding alongside us.
