Hey PRIME, come join us for beautiful hike in the heart of Sandy Springs! This beautiful walking trail goes along the majestic Chattahoochee River and is filled with tons of wildlife. With a distance of only 2.5 miles long, this makes it super easy for new hikers and those who just want to get outside. Expect some nature trivia along the hike and a brief devotional down by the river. So, join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, with fun and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation.
*If you’ve never been to an Echo event, this is the perfect time to come! You will definitely meet other first-timers and leave feeling encouraged and connected*
HIKE DIFFICULTY: D2 - 2.5 miles
Hiking Rating Scale:
D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat
D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills
D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous
D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility
D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far
WHAT TO BRING: Rain jacket, water, etc.
No children or animals please.

(PLEASE NOTE: We will be meeting at the Island Ferry Parking Lot. When you enter the park from Roberts Dr, make sure to look for signs. The parking lot is the first left. Look for a group of people)
PARKING FEE: $5 (can be paid via recreation.gov at trailhead).
BATHROOMS: No bathrooms at trailhead; however, there are bathrooms at the Hewlett Lodge Visitor Center. It’s about 10 minutes past the parking lot so make sure to give yourself enough time because we cannot hold up the group.
TIME: 10am – 12:30pm

KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
