Band Information
HeyDreamer bio:
From the heart of Atlanta's thriving music scene, HeyDreamer emerges as a four-piece rock powerhouse, defining their own sonic landscape with hook-laden melodies, tight vocal harmonies, and electrifying live performances. Front and center is Melody Kiser, a captivating lead guitarist with a voice that can act as both a force of nature and a soulful velvet whisper. Melody's fingers dance across the frets, weaving intricate melodies and blistering guitar solos, while her vocals soar with an intensity that echoes the spirit of legendary rock n’ roll titans. Beyond her instrumental and vocal mastery, Melody is the poetic soul and creative force behind HeyDreamer, crafting songs that resonate with authenticity.
Anchoring the band's sound with deep, resonant grooves is bassist Dustin Williams. Grounded in the roots of funk, jazz, and rock, Dustin brings a virtuosic flavor to HeyDreamer’s sonic palette, transforming each composition into a rhythmic odyssey. Driving the heartbeat of HeyDreamer is David Williams, whose musical journey isn't just about hitting the drums, but is a narrative of exploration, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to the craft. On keyboards, Donnie Gee leaves an indelible mark on every composition he touches.
In February of 2020, HeyDreamer released their debut album, If You’re Out There. The band were the first group signed to Real 2 Reel Productions, a company owned and operated by Will Turpin, bassist and co-founder of the international supergroup Collective Soul. Turpin describes HeyDreamer as "young, extremely talented, and serious about their musical endeavors."
In the summer of 2021, HeyDreamer launched and completed a successful fan-funded Kickstarter campaign to support the costs associated with launching their second album, Dances in Wonderland. The follow-up album was released in March of 2022. HeyDreamer are currently writing, recording, and performing in 2025.
Grits & Greens bio:
At each show, Grits & Greens showcases a diverse set of skills as front woman Ryann McGhee shines with powerful and precise vocals, commanding guitar licks and immersive keyboard soundscaping. Accompanying her on lead guitar is her husband, Jesse McGhee, who demonstrates artful mastery of the slide guitar mixed with lightning fast standard tuning guitar licks inspired by the likes of Jerry Garcia and David Gilmour. Rounding out the low end is Jake Noble on the bass guitar who exhibits the intuitive ability to blend sitting back and playing in the pocket with lead slap-bass solos, similar to the complex and mind-bending work of Les Claypool. Jackson Bounds ties it all together on the drums with his explosive and unique percussive style while flaunting an infectious energy behind the kit. As if their individual talents weren’t enough, the band features soaring three part vocal harmonies. But their lyrics are what truly set them apart; sharing stories that are personal, playful, and perfectly satirical. Gathering influence from artists like The Allman Brothers, Paramore, Phish, Kings of Leon and Black Sabbath, the band delivers a familiar sound with their own unique and mesmerizing spin. The obvious love that the band has for each other, as well as playing music, is beautifully exemplified by their warm stage presence and tight performances. This bond keeps their performances fresh and ever-exploratory, always leaving the listeners wanting more.
