Please join Richard for an NBCH hike around Lakes Lagunitas and Bon Tempe in Mt Tamalpais State Park near Fairfax on Saturday, February 3. From the Lake Lagunitas Parking Lot, we will hike around Lake Lagunitas, across the dam, then down to the shores of Bon Tempe.This gently rolling trail is basically the circumferences of Lagunitas & Bon Tempe reservoirs.
We will enjoy lunch together at a scenic spot along the shore of Bon Tempe.This round trip moderate hike around both lakes is approximately six miles, with gradual ups and downs but no prolonged uphill sections.
We should be back to the parking area by 3:30.
There is a pay station upon entrance into the State Park where you will pay $8 per car.
Hike: Moderate 6 miles around Lakes Lagunitas and Bon Tempe

Carpooling From Sonoma County:
Meet at Noah’s Bagels in Petaluma at 9:00am, ready to leave by 9:10am. Take HWY 101 to the East Washington exit, turn right on McDowell Blvd, and then left into the Safeway shopping center. Noah’s Bagel's is located near Safeway.
OR Meet at: Lake Lagunitas parking lot at 10:30am ready to hike.
Use your mapping software to lead you to the Lake Lagunitas parking lot.
Take HWY 101 to exits leading west to Mission St, 4th Street and Sir Francis Drake Blvd west. Follow Sir Francis Drake into Fairfax. In downtown Fairfax, turn left onto Bolinas Road then left onto Sky Oaks Road. Follow signage toward Lake Lagunitas parking lot. On the way to the Lake Lagunitas parking lot you will stop for the $8.00 payment for access to the park.
Bring: Water (Recommended Minimum 1500ml /50 fl. oz), lunch, snacks, sun protection, wear layered clothing and a hat.
Weather: Mostly Sunny with a high of 73 degrees.
