Submit Entries between Aug 1 and Oct 6th!
The contest is offered to amateur photographers (no professionals please) of any age working in all forms of photographic media – black and white or color.
By entering, you agree to the following official rules and the decisions of the Rose Hill Fall Festival Photography Competition Committee, which are final and binding in all respects.
Any local residents and those living in the vicinity are welcome to participate. Participants must be legal US citizens. Employees of Vintage Bank and any members of their immediate family are ineligible to win.
4 Entry Categories are as follows:
(Ages as of October 1st.)
~ Ages 12yr and Under
~ Ages 13yr – 18yr
~ Ages 18yr+
The Spirit of Rose Hill - Entries must be related to the City of Rose Hill, represent an aspect of the community, or embody the spirit of the City of Rose Hill. (All ages eligible)
RULES:
• A limit of three entries per participant. All other entries are disqualified.
• Contestants under the age of 18 are required to have a legal guardian at the time of entry and the prize pick-up.
• All photos MUST be at least 5x7. Matting is not required, but encouraged.
• By submitting your photo, you acknowledge that the photo is your own work and that you have the full rights to submit the photo for the contest. By submitting your photo, you grant the Rose Hill Fall Festival committee access to print or include the photo in print and non-print products.
• Submissions will be accepted from August 1 - October 7, 2024. Submissions will be accepted at Vintage Bank, 1402 N. Rose Hill Rd, during normal business hours.
• If located out of Rose Hill, KS, please mail your submission to Vintage Bank at 1402 N. Rose Hill Rd.
• Deadline for submissions is 5pm on October 7, 2024.
• A total of $340 will be awarded in cash prizes as follows for each category:
~ 1st place -$50
~ 2nd place - $25
~ 3rd place - $10
• All prizes must be claimed by December 13. To claim prizes, winner and/or their guardian must present identification. If winner does not come forward to claim prize, the Rose Hill Fall Festival Committee reserves the right to select an alternate winner or not to award the prize, in its sole discretion.
• Submitted photos will be on public display at the Rose Hill Fall Festival Art Show for the duration of the Rose Hill Fall Festival. Photos are not to be picked up prior to Monday, October 14. Winning photos will be on display at Vintage Bank for one month following the Rose Hill Fall Festival. All photos can be picked up at Vintage Bank. Any photos not picked up within 60 days of the Rose Hill Fall Festival will become property of Vintage
Bank.
• Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on scoring in the criteria listed below. Winners need not be present to win. Winners and/or their legal guardians will be notified by phone or email listed on the entry form, and will be given instructions how to
claim their prize.

• Quality
• Lighting
• Composition
• Creativity
