Country School (All School) Reunion – August 23, 2025
District 2028 (formerly District 139)

This will be a casual event held on the grounds of the old Salem Church just up the hill from where our old school stood. Salem is now registered as a historical site.
THE MAIN EVENT 2:00 to 5:00 PM
The main event will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on the church lawn. The church building will be open for use in case of inclement weather or just to visit. This will be a midafternoon dessert potluck. We encourage you to bring a dessert to share that you remember from your elementary school days like a family favorite recipe (such as a pie, a cake, a pan of brownies, cookies, etc.) Feel free to bring old school photos or mementos you would like to show.
OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
The new picnic shelter at the Paynesville Historical Museum has been reserved for any of us who would like to have lunch (at 12:00 noon) together and tour the museum, which has a wealth of information about country schools (and more) from our childhood era. Bring your own picnic lunch or if you prefer, eat lunch elsewhere before you come. Let the stories begin.
MORE OPTIONAL FUN 6:00 PM
Some of us may want to visit a local establishment of our choosing for dinner and more socializing.

There are currently an estimated 30 plus people that have expressed interest in attending this event. We invite you to contact former students in your family and in your network and share this invitation with them. We want everyone who attended to be invited.
