We have planned and booked a most spectacular ride to the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho 🇱🇸
We will be doing an all tar ride to Katse Dam, one of those incredible rides that is on all of our bucket lists.
Katse Dam, located in the Lesotho Highlands, is an incredible engineering marvel. This impressive structure stands 185 meters tall, making it one of the largest dams in Africa. It's a key component of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, which supplies water to South Africa and generates hydroelectric power for Lesotho.
Whilst the dam is stunningly beautiful, the ride itself is an inspiration and done in the most magnificent mountain passes of Lesotho. An exhilarating ride comprising of about 700 twisties in the space of about 85kms of perfect tarred road.
Accomodation is 100m from the dam and the tour group will be allowed to venture inside the dam wall... the highest point on the ride will be approximately 3000m above sea level.
There will be no gravel sections and basic riding experience is needed.

11th September 2025 to 14th September 2025.
The itinerary will be to ride to Fouriesburg on the 11th, sleep over at the lodge, travelling into Lesotho on the morning of the 12th. A slow ride to the dam via some amazing sights, accomodation that night at the dam in a local resort. Travel back to Fouriesburg on the 13th, sleeping over in Fouriesburg Saturday night and departing for Johannesburg on Sunday 14th September.
An experienced Ride Leader and Sweep will be riding to ensure your safety. This is a "have to do" bucket list trip to experience the mountains, the ride, the views and the Katse Dam itself.
