Mzanzi College Challenge Annual Football Tournament
The Mzanzi College Challenge Annual Football Tournament, powered by Sports and Recreation Gauteng and in partnership with CoSACSA Gauteng, is committed to promoting sports excellence, teamwork, and fair play. We look forward to an exciting tournament that celebrates the spirit of football and the talent of our youth.
The highly anticipated Mzanzi College Challenge is here, bringing together colleges in an exciting football showcase of skill, discipline, and teamwork. Below are the official rules, format, fixtures, and awards.
Rules
SAFA & CAF rules apply.
1. Win = 3 points | Draw = 1 point | Loss = 0 points
2. Tie-breakers: Goal Difference → Goals Scored → Fair Play → Penalties
Log & Qualification
1. The top team in each stream qualifies for the Semi-Finals.
2. The best 2nd-placed team overall also qualifies.
Match Duration
1. 30 minutes per game (all fixtures).
2. No extra time — straight to penalties.
3. 30-minute break before second games.

1. Player of the Tournament
2. Top Goal Scorer
3. Goalkeeper of the Tournament
4. Defender of the Tournament
5. Midfielder of the Tournament
