Young horse? Green horse? Off The Track? If you're looking for a low-fuss outing for you and your horse to enjoy then this is the event for you!
The aim of these days is to have a positive experience in a new place with your horse, meet other like-minded riders and their young horses, and get some professional help with anything you're having trouble with or working on with the stage your horse is at right now.
Ideal for first outing for young/green horses, with a fuss-free and supportive atmosphere, unstarted horse are most welcome.
We start out the day with a group discussion which gives the horses plenty of time to settle in while we chat. A group groundwork session lets everyone acclimatise to the new surroundings and explore the arena before we split into smaller groups for the second session.
The second session is your opportunity to get some specific help with your horse, it can be ridden or a second ground session, whichever your prefer. The riding time can either be a non-structured riding session where you work unassisted or it can have more of a lesson feel if you'd like some guidance/instruction.
About your Coach: Jessica Bryce has been coaching riders and their horses for 21 years, specialising in helping riders set their young horses up with solid basics, from foal handling right through to education under saddle.
As a Classical Dressage her teaching has a strong focus on use of the seat and keeping the horse as a willing partner that's responsive to light aids, but before any specialist training can begin, our basics have to be there to build upon.
This is not a discipline-specific clinic so ride in your western or stock saddle if you like, whatever keeps you and your horse comfortable, all are welcome here 🙂 (Helmets are are must though.)
Places are limited and booking is essential. It's $97 per person, including yard use and a share of venue hire.
