Daily Aqueducts Park Mini-Hike (by reservation only!)

The Great Beauty: Hike back in time in the Park of the Aqueducts – with a local hiking guide – and discover how the interplay between humans and nature created one of the most significant hallmarks in civilization.

Start in the hip and trendy neighborhood Pigneto and follow an ancient aqueduct which will lead us to the so-called "Parco degli Acquedotti" - an epic ancient Roman park where you'll experience a surreal mix of nature and several ancient aqueducts and on days with good weather a beautiful mountain backdrop.

• Duration: 3 hours approximately including briefing explanations and rest break.

• Meeting time 15 minutes prior to departure.

This experience is one way and will begin at the Subway Station Pigneto (C-Line) and finish close to the Subway station "Giulio Agricola" (A-Line).

• Difficulty Level: Easy (Distance: 9 kilometers/5.5 miles includes uneven terrain)
• Suited for families. Children (14+) must be accompanied by adults.

The final duration of the urban hike and the itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions unexpected obstacles (e.g. a fallen tree along the way) or other safety reasons. It is at the discretion of the professional hiking guide to determine alternatives or to shorten or extend the experience.

This is a professional activity in accordance with European Union legislation and Italian law no. 4 dating to 2003. With a professional guide enrolled in the register of the Italian Association of Interpretive Nature Guides - AIGAE.

What to bring

• Obligatory: Hiking / Walking shoes (no flip flops!) 1.5 liters of water clothing suited for an urban hike
• Recommended: Comfortable backpack raincoat sunscreen hat (protection from both sun and rain) trail snacks
• Optional: Hiking poles electrolytes sunglasses
