NSQG OCTOBER 16, 2025 MEETING:
Josh Chernoff – “Creating Animal Portraits Using Raw Edge Applique”

Raw edge applique is an excellent technique for creating naturalistic portraits of animals and people. It is also used to create landscape scenery in fabric. For experienced and newer quilters, it can be a liberating extension of their skills. Quilters can plan and execute visual images in fabric.

This lecture will review how the combination of fabric collage with quilting thread painting techniques can create expressive images.
