Mines to Megawatts: Reimagining Mines. Power Tomorrow. Reignite Missouri.

Join us at Missouri S&T for a one-day strategic workshop focused on the future of energy development at mine sites.

This event will bring together leaders in nuclear energy, AI, critical minerals, and infrastructure to explore how mine sites can be transformed into integrated energy parks—leveraging existing assets to accelerate the deployment of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), pumped hydro storage, and advanced computing technologies.

With existing transmission infrastructure, secure environments, and environmental groundwork already in place, mine sites present a unique opportunity to reduce costs, streamline deployment, and revitalize local communities.

Attendees will collaborate to identify key challenges, stakeholder needs, and actionable next steps for advancing this innovative concept.

This workshop is open and free to all S&T faculty, staff, students, and invited guests.
