🎸 An Evening With Knives (AEWK); An Evening With Knives weaves an evocative blend of post-metal, psychedelic rock, and doom, creating a soundscape where towering walls of sound collapse into serene tranquility. This dynamic trio masters the art of making a three-piece band resonate with the power and depth of an orchestra, delivering dark, heavy and utterly captivating music.
🎸 Scorched Oak; Haunting, heavy, and downright groovy, Dortmund, Germany's Scorched Oak are a three-piece delivering a signature take on stoner rock, doom metal, and much more. Rolling rhythms and crushing riffs, with a penchant for dark atmospherics, are joined by the group's distinctive dual vocal approach. Sharing equal vocalist duties, bassist Linda's soaring voice and guitarist Ben's gravelly roar play off each other to strike a dynamic balance and breathe enigmatic new life into the band's sonic roots.
Featured in such publications as The Doomcharts and Metal Injection, Scorched Oak have shared the stage with acts including 1000mods and Pallbearer and rocked the Stoned from the Underground & Rock Hard Festivals. Following up on their critically acclaimed 2020 debut "Withering Earth", the trio take the next step in their heavy quest with 2024's new album "Perception", reaching new heights with a sound that's darker, groovier, and more layered than ever. Scorched Oak have arrived, and are out to set ears and minds ablaze.
🎸 Lucifer's Matches; smeult in het donker—bedachtzaam, ongrijpbaar, altijd op zoek naar zuurstof. Uit het vlampunt ontstaat een nieuw geluid, diep en meeslepend. De bandleden vonden elkaar door hun gedeelde bewondering voor Maynard James Keenan, een artiest die moeiteloos schakelt tussen het etherische en het compromisloze. Ironisch genoeg laten ze nu de stem achterwege; hun verhalen worden verteld met enkel gitaar, bas en drums.
Rob van Elmpt (KillFerelli, Liftid), Marijn Munnecom (The FilthyRed Horse), en Sjoerd van den Beuken (Chaos Control, Delain) smeden een geluid dat zich opbouwt, een cirkelend hypnotisch web van ritme en resonantie dat als een gloed onder de as wacht om op te laaien.
Eén vonk is genoeg—Lucifer’s Matches laat het branden.
