Lammas/Lughnasadh Pot Luck Dinner

Lammas or Lughnasadh is the marking of the beginning of the harvest season. It is one of the eight sabbats, or seasonal festivals, celebrated in these practices. In historical folklore, the term "Witches' Sabbath" refers to a mythical gathering of witches for rituals and interactions with the divine.

The name Lughnasadh is derived from the Celtic god Lugh, and the festival is sometimes associated with the death of his mother, Tailtiu, who is an earth goddess. Celebrations often include feasting, making offerings to the earth, and engaging in activities related to food preservation and harvest.

We welcome everyone to join us for a fun night outside the shop to dine with us and celebrate the seasonal harvest giving. This event is a pot luck dinner, so bring a dish that you would like to share and a folding chair or two!

Come dine, laugh, tell stories, and enjoy one of the oldest celebrated Sabbaths.
