It’s that time of year again to lace up for the Annual Rockmart Thanksgiving Day Turkey Bowl!
This is a Christian and family-oriented flag football game that has occurred annually for over 20 years. It's an opportunity for local athletes, current and old, to gather and glorify God in community and with the physical abilities that he has blessed us with.
Everyone meets at Hilburn Field at 7:30 on Thanksgiving morning, and kickoff is usually around 8:00. The event typically last until 10:00, but participants are welcome to come and go as they please.
This is literally open to EVERYONE! From age ranges of “just walking” to “needs a walker,” and all athletic ability from "NFL contract" to "peaked in Rec 30 years ago..." every type, age, and gender... ALL ARE WELCOME to participate or spectate! We love our fan sections!
It's an amazing opportunity for parents and children to compete in a safe and fun-filled enviornment. It's alo a chance for our Christian comunity to grow in fellowhip through newly formed relationships.
All that is needed is athletic clothing attire (shorts/pants, shirt/hoodie - gloves and cleats are recommended), a good attitude, and maybe some tylenol.
