The Importance of Support Groups Class

All are invited to join the educational segment of our Stephen Ministry’s September meeting as we learn from a local authority. The meeting is on Tuesday, September 2, at 4:30 PM in the Social Hall.

The Importance of Support Groups class will be presented by Barbara Manning, Alzheimer’s Support Group Facilitator at Ken-Rock Community Center, who will explain the importance that support groups hold for caregivers and families of loved ones afflicted with dementia related illnesses.

Discover how the support group operates, why self-care is important, what participants have experienced, and how to confidentially connect. Discussion is encouraged, as are guests who may benefit from her message.
