Every Mother Matters, March for Awareness

To coincide with YWCA's Week Without Violence, YWCA Quad Cities will be holding a 1-mile awareness walk on Monday, October 20th at 9:30 am.

Week Without Violence is the YWCA movement’s opportunity to come together and advocate for a safer world for women, girls and families. This year’s theme, Safe Beginnings: Protecting Mothers, Nurturing Futures, is all about how we can support moms and their children as they build hopeful, healthier futures.

Join us as we march to raise awareness about maternal and infant health disparities and advocate that every mother has access to respectful, quality care.

Details:

The march will start at YWCA Quad Cities (513 17th St, Rock Island) at 9:30 am. Argrow's Cafe Food Truck will be parked outside for anyone who wants to buy food or drinks before the march. At 9:30 YWCA QC President & CEO will give a few remarks, then we will do a 1-mile walk around downtown Rock Island.

Signs will be provided to those who want to carry one!
