Tuesday, November 4th the Vatican, under Pope Leo XIV, issued a doctrinal note stating that Mary is not to be called "co-redemptrix" or "co-mediatrix" because it could obscure Jesus Christ's unique role in salvation. The document, titled "Mater Populi Fidelis," clarifies that while devotion to Mary is important and she has a special role, Jesus alone is the redeemer.
