On Sunday 29th June 2025, the Rochdale Science Initiative C.I.C invites you to the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM for the annual Rochdale Science Extravaganza – an exciting, one-of-a-kind celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths (STEAM), designed to inspire and engage EVERYONE in our community.

Discover how science and art come together to tackle the big issues of today, like climate change and building a sustainable future. Whether you’re a curious child, a parent looking for family fun, a young person exploring career options, or someone who thinks science isn’t for me – this event is for YOU.

• Hands-on Activities: Create, experiment, and learn with fun STEAM-based activities for all ages.
• Live Science Shows: Be amazed by mind-blowing demonstrations and interactive performances.
• Mini Zoo & Live Animals: Get up-close with fascinating creatures.
• Planetarium Experience: Gaze at the stars and explore the universe.
• Meet STEAM Professionals: Chat with inspiring scientists, engineers, and artists from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic minority STEAM Ambassadors.

• Tailored STEM Content: We are creating specialised STEM-based content for the SEND community, ensuring inclusivity for all participants.

The Rochdale Science Initiative C.I.C is a grassroots community organisation dedicated to making STEM accessible to all, especially those from socio-economically disadvantaged and ethnic minority groups. Since our first Science Extravaganza in 2017, we’ve grown into a movement that inspires thousands of people each year.
