The Adai Caddo Indian nation proudly invites the public to our 27th annual powwow to be held on Saturday October 18th beginning at 10 A.M. Our Powwow is free of charge and located at 4460 Hwy 485 Robeline Louisiana. The Adai people have been in this community since time immemorial and our families look forward to this homecoming each year to fellowship participate and share this traditional event that pays homage to our forefathers.
Our Chief John Mark Davis highlights the Powwow as a learning experience for our children as well as the public. Powwow etiquette should be followed such as to dress modestly and stand up for the grand entrance and pay attention to the master of ceremonies as he will tell you what is going on in the arena. Powwow grounds should be considered to be sacred grounds. No drugs firearms alcohol or ice chests are permitted at our powwow.
There will be lots of food t-shirts jewelry vendors clothing wood crafting art for everyone’s enjoyment. We have Indian fry bread hot tamales barbecue fried chicken wings okra meat pies and lots much more. Please bring a lawn chair and an umbrella for shade.
