Whispers in the Leaves: An Open Mic

As autumn settles into the Blue Ridge, the Star City Poet’s Society invites voices from every corner of the valley to gather for Whispers in the Leaves: an evening of spoken word, live expression, and creativity are released on the mic at Big Lick Brewery.

Join us Tuesday, October 14 at 6:30pm for a night that celebrates the quiet power of words and the rustle of stories waiting to be told. The theme encourages reflection on transition: how we let go, how we listen, and what beauty hides in the in-between.

Whether you’re a first-time performer or a seasoned poet, the mic is open to all. Share your verse, your voice, your music, or simply come to listen as the leaves whisper the start of a new season.
