🌧️ Community Flood Mitigation Meeting, December 18th at 6 PM 🌧️
The Village of Roanoke would like to invite all residents to an important community-wide meeting with the Illinois Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:00 PM at Village Hall (102 N. 6th St.).
Over the past year, NRCS and the Village have been evaluating multiple engineering alternatives to help reduce flood risk throughout Roanoke.
This meeting is your opportunity to:
• Learn about the alternatives under consideration
• Hear the findings from NRCS engineering and environmental studies
• Understand the potential long-term solutions for our watershed
• Ask questions and share your input before a final plan is selected
Residents may attend in person or join virtually via Zoom (link will be posted on the project website before the meeting).
📌 Your voice matters.
Flooding affects many parts of our community, and your feedback is an important part of shaping the final recommendation.
We hope you’ll join us on December 18th as we continue working together toward a safer, stronger Roanoke.
