Set on the open water during the 1974 filming of Jaws, The Shark is Broken is a hilarious and poignant behind-the-scenes look at three actors stuck on a boat — and with each other — as the mechanical shark keeps breaking down. As shooting delays stretch on, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, and Roy Scheider wrestle with boredom, ego, addiction, and ambition.
Co-written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, the play blends fact and fiction into a witty, character-driven slice of Hollywood history.
