Drum Circle at Unity of Roanoke Valley

You're invited to join us for an indoor Winter Drum Circle @ URV!

We're hosting a community drum circle on the third Friday of the following months:

November 21st @ 6:00 pm <<<
(NO drum circle in December)
January 16th @ 6:00 pm
February 20th @ 6:00 pm
March 20th @ 6:00 pm

This is an INDOOR drum circle! Bring a drum or percussion instrument, and a friend!

What is a drum circle? It's a gathering of individuals who come together to play drums and other percussion instruments in a communal setting. The purpose can range from simple enjoyment and social connection to therapeutic and spiritual experiences. Defining values of a drum circle include equality, autonomy, inclusivity, and freedom of expression. The origins of contemporary drum circles in North America can be traced back to Congo Square in New Orleans, a pivotal site in the history of American music.
