DJing isn't solely about song selection and yelling into a mic. You need to understand sound quality, crowd reading, smooth blending, and controlling your audience with your musical journey. DJing tells a story. As the tone setter, it's all yours to tell.
During this hands-on, six-week course you'll learn about live sound setup. (Get ready to become a mini engineer.) You'll learn the basics of reading digital, sound waves, and how the environment of a room shapes sound. You'll learn music genres and how to blend across them smoothly utilizing industry transition techniques. You'll learn how to navigate the Virtual DJ software, your DJ controller, and a performance mixer. But, most importantly you'll learn how to read ANY crowd and create your individual DJ style.
