Platte Landing Park, Parkville, MO

USK Kansas City is excited to have our August event hosted by Jacque Defenbaugh. Jacque had posted some beautiful sketches she recently did from the park, and we thought this would be a wonderful area to have our next event and fortunately she agreed to host! She has reserved the shelter for us to have picnic tables available.

The Farmers Market will be active, so Jacque shared parking suggestions. There is additional parking at English Landing and there are signs pointing out parking on side streets.

Ideas to sketch are exciting. There is a river walking trail that has scattered benches along it. There also is another shelter down the trail. There are 2 raised flower beds, one has a waterfall. Its located on the left trail from Platte Landing. The Farmers Market is in English Landing, which would be fun to sketch.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to road work, Hwy 9 Parkville exit is closed on N 169. Also the Parkville exit off Gateway Ave. in Riverside is also closed. Please use your navigation system to make sure you have a clear path to avoid road closures.
