This workshop provide an introductory overview to new AI 'Deep Research' Tools and Reasoning Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, Deep Seek and Perplexity), benchmarking models and providing best in class use cases across different academic disciplines.
Secondarily, it provides an introduction to Notebook LM, an AI tool for learning to create, study guides, summaries and conversational interactive podcasts to help understanding of the complex articles and texts.
This workshop will overview the awesome powers of these new tools for academic research and study for undergraduate, graduate students and faculty.
All UCR community members are welcome to attend. Make sure to register with your UCR email. Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants one hour before the workshop starts. Participants are expected to follow and uphold .
