🎠The Courtyard Shakespeare Festival at CBU showcases a season of laughter, wordplay, and theatrical delight!
This summer, the Courtyard Shakespeare Festival presents one of Shakespeare’s earliest—and funniest—comedies alongside a fast-paced romp through the entire Shakespearean canon.
Opening the Festival on Friday, June 13 is Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield’s The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] [Again]. Hold on to your ruffs, because just three actors will barrel through all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays (plus a few sonnets!) in just 97 uproarious minutes. With irreverent humor, modern twists, and audience participation, this updated edition of the long-running hit is a fast-paced, side-splitting love letter to the Bard. Whether you're a die-hard Shakespeare fan or just in it for a good laugh, you won’t want to miss this unforgettable play.
Double the twins, double the trouble! Opening on Saturday, June 14 is Shakespeare’s own The Comedy of Errors. Enjoy an entertaining story of mistaken identities that spiral out of control in this high-energy farce about two sets of identical twins separated at birth. Chaos erupts with slapstick hilarity and confusion when their worlds collide in the same town. The perfect play for families and first-time Shakespeare-goers! @cbutheatrearts @courtyardshakespearefestival
