After the golf outing, the public is welcome to join our golfers, volunteers, and sponsors for a special reception at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. The reception will include light appetizers, a cash bar, a short program, a silent auction, and prize giveaways. If you are not a golfer but still wish to support the Dragonfly Transplant Fund and the transplant community in Eastern Iowa, please consider attending. No RSVP or tickets are required. The program is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm inside Riverside Casino & Golf Resort's convention center.
ABOUT THE GOLF OUTING
In 2018, the Dragonfly Transplant Fund's Annual Golf Outing began. In its inaugural year, we hosted 38 golfers and raised $5,500. Through this annual fundraising tradition, we have raised a total of over $300,000 for the Dragonfly Transplant Fund with the University of Iowa Center for Advancement!
We are thrilled to be celebrating our eighth year of this golf outing in 2025 and showing our supporters the exciting projects we have been working on to support transplant nurses as well as patients, their families, and their caregivers at the UIHC Organ Transplant Center. With your continued support, we are one step closer to our ultimate goal of creating an in-person resource center and lounge for the transplant community at UIHC Organ Transplant Center.
ABOUT THE DRAGONFLY TRANSPLANT FUND
In partnership with the University of Iowa Organ Transplant Center, The University of Iowa Center for Advancement and the Brown Family have established the Dragonfly Fund for Transplant Support. The vision for the Dragonfly Transplant Fund is to provide support for both patients and their families throughout their transplant experience, whether it be enhanced educational materials, a dedicated lounge area, offsetting travel expenses, and more.
