Culinary Mushrooms in the Home Garden (ONLINE)

Mushrooms have a way of making the world feel a little more magical—popping up after the rain, breaking down old wood into rich soil, and appearing in fairy tales as enchanted toadstools. But did you know you can use low-tech methods to grow mushrooms amongst your garden plants?

In this beginner-level ONLINE class, we’ll explore how to grow delicious, earthy mushrooms outdoors using simple, low-maintenance methods. Whether you’re dreaming of shiitakes sprouting from a log, wine caps weaving through your garden beds, or a bucket on your porch overflowing with oyster mushrooms, we’ll cover the basics to get you started. No sterile labs or fancy equipment needed—just a bit of patience, the right materials, and an appreciation for the wonders of fungi.
