Come drive some of the classic local back roads for some tight and technical twisties of Salmon Falls to Pilot Hill, Hwy 49 through Lotus, and back up 193 to Georgetown for a group picture.
Hang on a little longer after a break at the Worton’s Market on Main St and stretch the cars legs on some of the less travelled, diversified tight, sweeping, and long straights of scenic Wentworth Springs Rd out to Icehouse Rd, near where the legendary Rubicon Trail starts, for a late breakfast/early lunch. End point is Ice House Resort 9199 Ice House Rd, Pollock Pines, Ca 95726.
It’ll be late in the morning by then so you can head downhill on Hwy 50 back towards Sac or summit the Sierra and drop into Lake Tahoe for the afternoon.
Plenty of places to turn around or detour home including, but not limited to, the end of Salmon Falls Rd, south end of the Hwy 49 section into Placerville, and Worton’s Market in Georgetown.
Meet at Starbucks 4311 Town Center Blvd, El Dorado Hills starting at 6:30 am and depart at 7 am. Coffee, water, snacks, full tank of gas, walkie talkies if you have one, and on we go!
Estimated time of arrival at Ice House Resort, end of the drive, is approximately 10:30 am.
