About the event

Gochu Hot Pepper Picking and Field Walk

This summer we partnered with longtime Flying Plow customer and farmers' market employee, Jen Kreuger, to grow Gochu hot peppers. These peppers are used in making Gochugaru (hot pepper flakes) and Gochujang (fermented hot pepper paste). Jen plans to dry the Gochu peppers and use the hot pepper flakes in making kimchi this fall. This winter she plans to make a fermented hot pepper paste with the dried chili flakes.
Join us for an evening of picking hot peppers and talking about Korean condiments.
