EVER FANCIED STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING BUT DIDN’T WANT TO THROW YOURSELF IN AT THE DEEP END? YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!
Our stand up paddle boarding experience from Ripon to Boroughbridge on the River Ure is aimed at people who are complete beginners wanting a ‘stand up paddle boarding river journey’, those looking for a fun day out with like-minded people doing something a little different or those looking for a fun and exciting family day.
Our qualified instructor will meet you at the end location, where we will kit you up with the equipment you’ll need. Then we will all be transported by minibus or taxi to Ripon where you will be given a safety brief before getting on the stand up paddle boards– now the adventure really begins!
Leaving Ripon our instructor will be on hand to give you top tips and guide you down the river. On route to Boroughbridge (a little over half way), we will stop on route for lunch at the scenic West Wick Lock, before stand top paddle boarding back to you vehicle in Boroughbridge.

This venue has toilets, showers and changing facilities.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
• Footwear. Trainers or wetsuit boots (NO wellingtons)
• Swim wear. To go under the wetsuit
• Towel
• Drink. At least 1 litre (NO alcohol)
• Lunch (picnic style)
• Personal Medication. Any prescription medicines you need such as inhaler
• Sun Glasses. The reflection from the water can be very bad on the eyes
• Sun Screen. We highly recommend factor 30 minimum
We provide all the other safety equipment, wetsuit, a cagoule, waterproof phone/ key case and a dry-bag (waterproof bag) to carry your spare clothes, lunch and other personal belongings.
The stand paddle board Ripon to Boroughbridge experinece is 11km (7 miles) in length and is approximately a 5 hour round trip. The cost is £69 per person and all bookings to be made via our website.
Minimum age 12 years. Ideal for individuals, couples and small groups. The spaces are limited to nine people and are sold on a first come first serve basis. Once you book you will automatically receive an email which will allow you to down load all the information.
If the date we are offering on our ‘Shared Experiences’ doesn’t suit you, we offer private bookings for every activity and experience we offer! With private bookings we don’t add additional people to your booking and every activity/ experience is tailored specifically to your needs and requirements.
