Free Ripon Library Chess Games

If your family, friends, and neighbors are looking for free Chess lessons and are able to come to the Ripon Library at 300 West Main Street, Ripon, CA, please RSVP to 209 284 7676 so we know how many boards to set up each Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm. I am a library volunteer and enjoy helping students learn good sportsmanship and abstract thinking for success in life. I am not adverse to mentoring students outside of this event as well. Every year in April, Turlock High School has a yearly tournament, which I am hoping to train students to be part of. For players K-12, the fee is $5, and for those older, the fee is $10 for the tournament. I have trained students to take the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies, and all participants get a certificate of participation. Visit the Covenant Heritage Academy Tutoring Services Google website for affordable tutoring opportunities via remote means, or if you are able to train at my home is best for me, but I am open to travel if local to San Joaquin or Stanislaus County. Call the library to verify I will be there or this is Saturday, I am away for another event.
