What They Are
Informal Recognition: The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) allows learners to gain certificates for completing specific tasks or units of learning in areas like animal care.
Skill-Based: Units focus on practical skills (e.g., using a hoof pick, fitting rugs, basic grassland management) and can be tailored to different levels (Level 1, Level 2).
Portfolio Building: Students collect certificates, creating a portfolio that demonstrates their growing knowledge, skills, and work ethic to employers or for further education.
