ABOUT Mariana Dragone (Argentina)
* Mariana was born in the city of Rosario. From a very young age, she studied ballet and contemporary dance.
* In 1992, she began dancing tango, and in 1996, she moved to Buenos Aires to study and fully dedicate herself to the art of tango. That same year, she started performing in Plaza Dorrego and formed a dance partnership with Pedro Benavente, known as "El Indio," with whom she traveled to the USA and Europe.
* Throughout her career, she has worked and danced with renowned tango artists such as Hernán Obispo, Chicho Frumboli, Pablo Inza, Gastón Torelli, Diego Riemer, Miguel A. Zotto, and Ricardo Biggeri. She has participated in the world’s most prestigious tango festivals and discovered her true passion: teaching tango!
* For three years, she was a member of Miguel A. Zotto’s company Tango x 2, performing alongside him and Pablo García, touring across Europe and the United States.
* Since 2010, she has been the director of the tango school La Maleva and the tango guesthouse Casa Hotel Tango La Maleva.
* Multiple years an Honoured Jury Member of El Mundial de Tango, Argentine Tango World Championship.
