Aicinām jūs 30. novembra vakarā jebkurā laikā no 18:00 līdz 21:00 pie Brīvības pieminekļa nolikt sveces Rumbulā noslepkavoto Latvijas ebreju piemiņai.
Šie cilvēki bija mūsējie - mūsu vecvecāku kaimiņi, skolas un studiju biedri, ārsti, inženieri, profesori un šuvējas. Viņi piederēja Latvijai, viņi šeit dzīvoja un mīlēja, un deva artavu valsts izaugsmē. Tā ir mūsu atbildība neaizmirst par lielāko civiliedzīvotāju slepkavību mūsu valsts vēsturē - 25 000 vardarbīgi izdzēstu dzīvību.
Lūdzu ņemt vērā, ka novembra saltie vēji var nopūst sveces, tādēļ pasākuma iniciatori iesaka ņemt līdzi izturīgas stikla sveces ar vāciņu.

We invite you to commemorate the 84th Anniversary of the Rumbula tragedy on November 30, anytime between 6PM and 9PM and to lay candles by the Monument of Freedom in memory of the Latvian Jews who were killed in Rumbula forest.
On November 30 and December 8, 1941, two massacres happened in Rumbula, the biggest mass murders of civilians in the history of Latvia. 25 000 Latvian citizens were driven into pits and murdered with a bullet in the back of their heads. They were our neighbors, Jews from the Riga Ghetto – children with their mothers, women, men, seniors.
We congregate in the heart of Riga, by the Freedom Monument to light candles for the lives lost. Given the harsh weather conditions in November we kindly ask you to bring sturdy glass candles with a lid.
