Our artists-in-residence, Yulia Vus from Ukraine and UK-based Inga Ziemele, will present and discuss their work.
Yulia Vus is an illustrator and comic artist from Ukraine, currently based in Lviv. With many years of experience, she works across book illustration, comics, editorial, and branded projects. Her visual style is shaped by a deep interest in history, Ukrainian culture, feminism, and literature. Yulia’s work has been published by various publishing houses, and she has collaborated with The Washington Post, The Economist, Adobe, Strapazin, UNDP, and others. She draws inspiration from real-life moments, situations, and characters.

Inga Ziemele is a Latvian illustrator based in London. She is known for her bold anthropomorphic characters that some have described as an “explosion of chaotic, colourful and characterful work” and sometimes “disturbing but in a friendly way”. Commercially Inga has worked with brands like Nike, Jameson and Crocs, as well as some of that work has been featured on platforms like It’s Nice That and The Brand Identity. In her personal practice she is interested in themes of physical and mental health visualisations through humorous storytelling.
