"Singers" of the Met Orchestra

PARLANCE’S 18TH SEASON STARTS THIS SUNDAY!!
On Sunday, September 14 at 4 PM, PCC’s Opening Concert will showcase three of the Met’s principal instrumental “singers”—hornist Brad Gemeinhardt, bassoonist William Short, and clarinetist Anton Rist—performing three of Mozart’s greatest wind concertos with colleagues from the Met Orchestra, under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Parloff. Rounding out the program is Haydn’s sparkling Symphony No. 6, “The Morning”, a radiant work that highlights the extraordinary virtuosity of twenty members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
