Plants, Seeds and a Pond - A Guided Walk

Enjoy a guided walk through one of Ridgefield’s newest open spaces - the Wittman Preserve! This beautiful meadow preserve is a unique habitat in Ridgefield, and is a prime spot to see fall blooming wildflowers! We will be taking a closer look at what plants produce in the fall to spread their seeds; from berries and drupes to seed pods and capsules. After checking out the meadow, we will take a walk down to the nearby Round Pond in search of an even greater variety of plant and animal life!
