Sunset Snacks at KPU Farm

Celebrate summer, connect with peers, and enjoy an evening outdoors at Sunset Snacks—an event just for youth.

Hosted by City of Richmond and the Department of Sustainable Agriculture at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and presented in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, this event is all about community, connection, and the joy of being in nature.

Enjoy fresh, local snacks, hang out in the golden hour glow, and take part in hands-on activities like bouquet making, a mini harvest, and other fun ways to engage with the farm.

Sunset Snacks highlights sustainability, healthy eating, and the value of time spent outdoors. Whether you're into flowers, food, or just want to relax with friends, there’s something for everyone.

Important Event Details

This event is open to youth ages 13–24.

Staff from youth-serving organizations in Richmond are welcome to attend to accompany youth to the event. Youth staff must register to attend.

Space is limited, so registration is strongly encouraged to reserve your spot.

We encourage you to bring a blanket to sit and relax with friends.

Dress however you like, but please wear closed-toed shoes. We recommend avoiding heels, as some areas of the farm have uneven ground.

There is no public parking onsite. Please walk, bike, take transit, or park at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University campus ($5/day), just a 300-meter walk from the farm. See the site map below for directions and transit options.
