Special Focus Tour: Dining with Shakespeare

Just in time for the Richmond Shakespeare Festival, join tour guide Tracy Weldon for a look at culinary customs during Shakespeare’s lifetime. What was dining like in Elizabethan England? What are medlars, lamb’s wool, and other spring ingredients used for?

A brief talk is followed by a tour through seasonal displays in Agecroft Hall’s Great Hall, Dining Parlor and Tudor Kitchen.

Then take home some period recipes to try in your own kitchen!

Garden admission is included in the tour ticket after this 10:30am tour.
