Join us for Reid Health Family Birthing Center’s Shared Beginnings Breastfeeding Class, a free educational event for expectant moms and families who plan to deliver at Reid. Partners and supporters are welcome.
The next class is scheduled to meet from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6. Lunch is provided.
Pre-registration is available at

Discover the superpowers of breastmilk! Learn how a mother’s body produces antibodies specifically targeted to fight off pathogens her baby is exposed to, often stopping illness before symptoms even appear.
You’ll also explore how breastmilk changes throughout the day. Morning milk provides a natural energy boost, while evening milk contains calming hormones to help your baby relax and sleep better.
In this interactive class, we’ll cover:
✅ How to establish and maintain a successful breastfeeding relationship
✅ Common breastfeeding challenges and how to overcome them
✅ Signs your baby is getting enough milk
✅ Pumping and choosing the right breast pump
✅ The importance of support
