Begin your morning with stillness, story, and self-discovery. Meandering Among the Markers is a 90-minute writing and reflection workshop held in the serene spaces of Hollywood Cemetery on Wednesday, July 23 at 9:00am at Overlook Two.
This small-group session invites you to explore your inner landscape through quiet observation, poetic expression, and personal reflection—guided by symbols, epitaphs, and the language of memory. Inspired by morning light and mindful pacing, this workshop is designed for those seeking a creative, contemplative experience.
This session offers space to:
Observe and interpret visual symbols on a selected grave
Reflect on poetic language and write your own short pieces
Engage in optional sharing with gentle prompts like “Today I miss…” or “Today I remembered…”
This workshop is free, although a donation to Friends of Hollywood Cemetery is appreciated. Spaces are limited to 10-15 participants. Bring a notebook, an open heart, and a willingness to pause. For questions and to RSVP, email Kelly Wilbanks at
